How we can help

We support children with:

  • Speech sound difficulties

  • Understanding and processing language

  • Social interaction skills

  • Expressive language and storytelling

  • Reading, writing and other dyslexia-related challenges

Our approach is to build underlying skills where needed, whilst focusing on practical communication in everyday situations, prioritising life skills, self-advocacy, and independence.

We support children at every stage — from early years, where timely help stops small gaps becoming big ones, right through to secondary school, where it's never too late to build confidence and skills.

Initial consultation

If you are worried about your child’s speech, language, social communication or literacy skills you can Contact Us or Book a Drop-In Consultation.
Together we will decide on the best next steps.

The Assessment Process

The aim of the assessment is to obtain a comprehensive picture of your child’s strengths and needs. The assessment can take up to three sessions, depending on the specific concerns, your child’s ability to concentrate, and whether we carry out an observation in their school or nursery.

Step 1

Parents complete a case history form

Step 2

Arrangements are made to carry out the assessment in an environment that best suits your child (at school, at home or in our practice rooms)

Step 3

With your consent, we contact your child’s teacher and other professionals

Step 4

We provide verbal feedback as well as the option of a formal written report

Step 5

We make recommendations and set clear, achievable targets together

Intervention can be carried out in a variety of ways to best suit your child’s needs and scheduling requirements.

Therapy Options:

  • Weekly, individual one-to-one sessions (at school, home or in our practice rooms)

  • Online intervention sessions

  • Small group sessions

  • Parent-led intervention with therapist guidance

  • Consultative sessions with the parents or school staff

  • Consolidation sessions with a Kid Speech London Key Worker

Our feedback and communication is outstanding!

We:

  • provide feedback to you after every session  (in person, via WhatsApp or email)

  • send video clips where appropriate, to show your child’s progress or explain the activities that should be practised over the week.

  • liaise with teachers and other professionals regularly.

Parent involvement is crucial to accelerate progress outside the therapy context. We are here to support you!
